This innovation synthesizes the immobilized glucose oxidase enzymes from the local isolates of Aspergilles niger IPB CC.08.610, to a modified carbon paste electrodes with polyaniline nanofibre, so that it can transfer the electrons resulted from redox reaction. This electrode has sensitivity level of 1.09 mA/mM for a range of glucose concentration between 0.2 - 2.0 mM, such that it can detect blood glucose level of 56.4 mg/dL. This innovation can be used to measure the blood glucose level, and can further be developed as electrodes for biofuel cells.
