The current extraction process of tuna fish oil uses excessive processing chemicals that negatively impacts its nutritional values, besides to bringing environmental pollution problem. The Virgin Fish Oil (VFO) process is adapted from the “clean” process of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), and is proven to deliver a good quality fish oil, with PUFA and MUFA contents of over 70%, and very high Omega 3 and Omega 9. Tuna fish eyes as raw materials for VFO are abundantly available in Indonesia, as it is a rarely utilized by-product of tuna fish loins production that disposes tuna heads and eyes as waste.
